WIP Walter and Lilli **new pics added**

Just got the pics back from Julia (the baby maker) she has been doing the painted hair on these two for me. I think she's done a lovely job. Can't wait to get them back and put together.

I'm really pleased with them Sal and usually they look even better in the flesh.

Do you remember when I told you about the oval line on Walters head and I thought it was a split? Everyone told me that there's was the same and it was a mould line, well Julia mentioned it as I had totally forgotten to tell her. She says in different lights you can still see it. YIKES!!!!
I hope it doesn't show too much or this is yet another one to call a boo boo baby. Chuffing hell the way I'm going I'm going to have a stall full of the buggers
Julia has posted them back to me today so hopefully I will get them tomorrow.

I can't help it Maz everything seems to be going wrong lately.

Thats what I use Maz. I can't do my knitting. I was crocheting and gripping the hook has made my wrist ache like last time. I think gripping my walking stick hasn't helped either. I'm scared to death my thumb will go like it did last year and if it does I won't be able to do anything.

Angel I didn't paint these Julia did. LOL
They arrived today and I put Walters eyes in AND THEY FIT WoooooooooooooooooHooooooooooooooooooo AT LAST some that fit.
They aren't glued in yet but he looks soooooooooooo cute. I took a few pics for you to see and a pic of Lilli. As per usual the camera doesn't pic the colours up but the hair is amazing, I took a close up so you can see it looks just like real hair.

Walter is in the kitchen window with his head upside down. I glued his eyes in so it won't be long before he's done. Trouble is it takes so long to do the pics I can't fit it in. LOL. I have 3 upstairs done but not dressed I have to look for which outfit they are having. I am sat here waiting for the kitchen people to get back to me. If they don't give me some answers heads will roll this time.

I think all the issues around your new kitchen while I was in "Siberia" Babs - by the time I could chat to you again you were just sorting out the umpteenth coat of paint on the ceiling what are the problems then lovey - sound bad if someone is going to loose their head over it xxxxxx

Sal one of the worktops was scratched when he put it in. The fitter said it was done before he fitted it and when he asked THE BOSS he told him to put it in and put some wax on it. I am also waiting for a sliding bin to go in one of my cupboards. The lady on the phone said last month that she had ordered it and it would be with me that week. IT NEVER CAME!!!! I rang again and she said she couldn't understand it and would look into it. A week later I rang again and she said they couldn't get one (well where the hell was the one she'd ordered). She said to me did I want to go and buy a bin and she would reimberse me for it. I told her that she had to get one it wasn't my place to run about and find one. £ weeks ago I rang again and she said we were penciled in for next week to fit the worktop still no bin. She said she would ring me with a positive day nearer the time. I rang today to see if I had a day and of course like every time she wasn't available and they would get her to ring me back. I told them she should ring me before 2pm as I had an appointment. (Scott's assembly). She never rang. When I got back from school I rang again and the receptionist said she wasn't there but would give it her personal attention and email her. I told her if I hadn't heard anything by tomorrow I would ring again. Thats about it in a nutshell. I am totally pissed off with them and If I don't get any joy tomorrow I am telling them I will be informing trading standards. I can't tile or have new flooring down until the works been done. Not that I have my tiles yet but they don't know that and I have been using a bloody bucket for my bin. The only place I can put it is next to the radiator which isn't a good place if it's on. Phew I'm knackered now.

That's bloody disgusting Babs , but sadly so typical of the second rate service you get in this country they made the job bigger themselves by telling the fitter to put in the damaged work top instead if replacing itat the time anyway - I think you should definitely get o to trading standards huni, it's no wonder this country is in the state it's in
Hope you get some joy from them tomorrow Babs , they don't usually like the idea of officialdom coming in so the threat just might swing it xxxxxx

No Maz we booked Wick's for an estimate and they never turned up. We had a few quotes but went with one I found on the internet that was in Liverpool. The feedback was brilliant, their name is Lifestyle kitchens and is part of the Mastercraft kitchen group. Going to ring em back today and if I can't speak to the person involved I will tell them if she hasn't contacted me by Monday teatime I am going to trading standards.
This is something I could do without.
